The First Day of Spring

Did you know that the spring equinox was the original date of the first Earth Day?  U Thant, former UN Secretary-General, signed a proclamation over forty years ago to celebration this event saying: “May there be only peaceful and cheerful Earth Days to come for our beautiful Spaceship Earth as it continues to spin and circle in frigid space with its warm and fragile cargo of animate life.”

As we enjoy the warming weather and see new life abound, it’s a great time for us each to assess our impact on this planet.  What we consume, how we use our limited resources and the ways that we can make a positive difference are some things we can consider.

Many of us enjoy technology and like to have the latest gadgets.  What happens to those devices when we are done with them?  How can they be put to continued use by others who may not have access to these resources?

This is where we at Capitol Asset come in.  When your company is upgrading their IT assets, we are interested in purchasing those that are complete and working.  That equipment is refurbished and sold at a very affordable price and goes one to live another life.

Technology that is too old or in poor condition is recycled and raw materials are used once again.  This theme of renewal is what we are all about.

Let us know how we can help you and your company to consider the earth and all of its inhabitants when you are getting rid of that which you no longer need.  Thanks for working together with us for a better world.

Happy Spring,
