First and foremost, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our customers and partners across the world. We are truly fortunate to have the honor of serving your needs.
Last year was a very exciting year for Capitol Asset Recovery. We expanded our reach, expanded our team, and expanded our services. We have also taken great strides in making our process greener and more beneficial to the community. This week, I would like to concentrate on our approval as an E-Stewards certified recycler and our recent work with Non-Profits.
As a company, we know that our process is second to none. But how do we prove that to potential customers? That is a problem that all companies face, and that we continue to face. We originally sought out the R2 certificate as a way to show that we adhere to the standards raised by SERI for the disposal of assets. The certification process is rigorous, but in the end very satisfying. We wanted something more than simply the R2 certification however. We wanted people to see that we are a premier recycler. So, with that in mind, we decided to also add the E-Stewards certification and in so doing, became the only Recycler/Refurbisher in the DC Metro area to have both certifications. We want you to have the peace of mind of knowing that we are the best choice when you are wondering what to do with your used electronics. Now, we have the credentials to back up what we have been saying all along.
Something that I personally am very proud of at this company is our work with non-profits. We provide fundraising, facilitating donations of IT equipment, and cheap parts replacements to several educational foundations in the MD/DC/VA area. Specifically, I would like to mention the VA Star program. They are a program that’s goal is to teach teenagers computer skills. This includes maintenance, data management, data destruction, and computing. If you would like more info on the work we do with them please shoot me an email!
